Cobras Strike - BU11 WYS Challenge Cup Finalist!

Special Congratulations goes out to our SVFC Cobras Strike BU11 team coached by Tony Dinaro who made it to the finals of the Washington Youth Soccer Challenge Cup.

Our Cobra Strike team defeated 4 PDL teams on their way to the finals where they lost to the Crossfire Premier 98 Henderson team in a 5 - 1 decision.

Special recognition is also given to our Girls U11 Cobra team that made it to the Quarter Finals and to our fellow Spokane Valley team the River City Foxes who were finalist in the GU11 Challenge Cup.  Way to represent the Spokane Valley!

Cobras Advance
Challenge Cup

On March 21st our Girls U11 Cobras team, coached by Tony Dinaro, advanced out of pool with a convincing 6 - 2 win over visiting Emerald City FC.

The victory has set up a Spokane Valley show down between the Spokane Valley FC Cobras and cross town rivals River City Foxes.  The winner of this elimination round will advance to the Quarter Final round of this statewide tournament.

The Boys U11 Cobra Strike team has already advanced to the Quarter Final and are waiting to find out who their opponent will be.

Cobras Take On PDL Teams
Washington Youth Soccer - Challenge Cup

March 12, 2010 - In the first season in which District 6 offered a competitive U11 division, both Championships were brought home by Cobras teams coached by Tony Dinaro. 

The District 6 Boys and Girls Champions head over the cascades Saturday to face a pair of Crossfire teams that play in the PDL.  The Cobras Strike BU11 team then returns Sunday to Plantes Ferry to play the Columbia Timbers, another PDL team, from the Vancouver area.

The Cobras Strike team won the District 6 BU11 Umbro Championship going without a loss with 8 wins and 1 tie.  During the season their offense scored 74 goals while only giving up 7 goals against.  During last summer tournaments they were 3 - 0 verses PDL teams.

The Cobras GU11 team had an equally specatacular season winning the GU11 Umbro Championship with 9 wins and only 1 loss.  They scored 38 goals and gave up only 9 goals during the 10 game season.

 

Welcome New Board Members!

Spokane Valley FC would like to welcome our new board of directors.  These volunteers were elected at our Annual General Meeting held September 28th.  

Spokane Valley FC is unique in the Valley in that the parents of our players are directly involved in the election of our board.  The final two board positions will be filled by members of the Advisory Council which will meet October 19th.
